Step inside one of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks with the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU). The Jumeirah Mosque was the first mosque in Dubai to welcome non-Muslim visitors, opening its doors to foster understanding and dialogue between cultures. In this beautiful setting, guests of all backgrounds are invited to explore Islamic traditions, ask questions freely, and experience true Emirati hospitality — all within the majestic walls of a mosque built to inspire openness, peace, and connection.
Registration: Arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled time for registration and to enjoy light Emirati refreshments, including Arabic coffee, tea, dates, and luqaimat (sweet dumplings).
Guided Tour: Led by knowledgeable Emirati Cultural Presenters, the tour covers topics such as Islamic beliefs, the five pillars of Islam, and the significance of mosque architecture.
Interactive Session: Engage in an open Q&A session, where visitors are encouraged to ask questions and participate in discussions to foster understanding and tolerance.
Cultural Activities: Experience traditional practices like henna application and have the opportunity to take photos with a falcon, a symbol of Emirati heritage.
