Start your cultural morning with a warm Emirati welcome at the SMCCU in Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, one of Dubai’s most charming and heritage-rich districts. After a brief introduction, you’ll step aboard a traditional open-air trolley, designed in vintage style, and begin a guided tour through Old Dubai.

As the trolley winds through the streets, your cultural guide will share fascinating insights into the city’s history, pointing out key landmarks such as Al Seef, Al Fahidi Fort, and Dubai Creek. Your tour includes a special stop at the Jumeirah Mosque, the first mosque in Dubai open to non-Muslim visitors, where you’ll have the chance to learn about Islamic traditions, architecture, and religious practices in an open, respectful, and welcoming setting.

After this eye-opening journey, return to the SMCCU’s traditional wind-tower house for a delicious traditional Emirati breakfast served in the majlis. Seated on cushions, you’ll enjoy dishes like balaleet (sweet vermicelli with egg), chebab pancakes, Arabic bread, dates, and fresh coffee and tea, while engaging in a cultural Q&A session hosted by a local Emirati. Ask questions freely, whether about customs, clothing, religion, or daily life — no topic is off limits.

This itinerary is designed to leave you not only full of flavor, but full of insight — making it the perfect introduction to Emirati heritage and hospitality.
